Maschine 3.7 adds two kinds of note probability and a Euclidean sequencer

Native Instruments released Maschine 3.7 on 23 September as a free update for Maschine 3 owners, through Native Access. It adds four sequencing tools to the Groove window: note generation, variations, a Euclidean sequencer and note probability.
Two of those use the word probability, and they do different jobs.
Written, or played
The first sits in the new Generate tab. In Random mode, Probability decides how many notes get written into the pattern when you press Apply: low values give a sparse pattern, high values fill it. Note Lo and Note Hi set the pitch range, Note Count decides between a single line and chords, and Scale Lock keeps the result in key.
The second is Note Probability, and it acts on notes already in the pattern. Each note gets a chance of playing, re-rolled on every pass of the loop, so 50% is a coin flip each time round. NI’s own article stops to point out the difference.
Once a pass sounds right, Lock freezes it as fixed, editable MIDI, and a locked pass can be resampled straight to a new sound.
Euclidean, with rotation live
The Euclidean sequencer spreads a number of hits (Fills) as evenly as possible across a number of Steps. NI’s examples are 8 steps with 3 fills for the tresillo and 16 with 5 for a bossa nova bell pattern. In live mode, Rotate shifts where the accents fall without changing the pattern’s shape, which is the control that turns one Euclidean pattern into several. Our Euclidean sequencing guide covers why steps, hits and rotation are separate jobs.
How random values are spread
A shared Distribution setting sits behind generation and variation: Even spreads values across the range, Natural clusters them around the middle in a bell curve, and Skewed biases them towards the minimum. For variations it governs velocity, note length and timing together.
Still missing
NI’s FAQ for the update asks whether plug-in delay compensation will be added, describing it as a long-standing request. The answer is “It’s on our radar.”
Maschine 3.7 needs macOS 14 to macOS 26, or Windows 10 (21H2) or later.
