CodeFarmer releases PatchRig FX 2.0 for iPhone, iPad, and Mac

CodeFarmer has released PatchRig FX 2.0, a standalone effects-design app for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. The update brings substantial content: 500 pedalboards, 500 pedals, 60 Super Pedals, and 31,777 song-tone trait profiles to spark creative direction.

The workflow is flexible. You can start with a written tone description, reference audio, a pre-built board, or dive straight into manual editing. Built-in audition performances cover guitar, bass, keyboard, acoustic, vocals, and drums. Version 2.0 adds tools for serious tweaking: pedal, amp, preamp, voice, MIDI, spectral, and bounded DSP editing modes. A/B comparison, live rig routing with meters, graph editing, and audio export round out the core feature set.

Mac users get a bonus: the standalone app can host registered Audio Unit effects. The app emphasizes that it generates original, editable rigs based on broad tone traits rather than claiming exact recreations of specific songs, artists, or gear.
